A DOG’S HEALTH

We often think of exercise as something which positively effects the mood in humans, but it has significant day-to-day effects on our dog’s behaviour as well, dogs — particularly puppies and young dogs — have a lot of energy, and if they don’t get the right amount of exercise you will soon notice behaviour issues. If you’re annoyed at holes in the sofa, or get headaches from constant barking, and have to replace expensive pillows, your dog’s probably not getting enough exercise or even the minimal.

The stress of all this can cause some dog owners to give up on their dogs, even though this pent up doggy bad behaviour can be addressed. Unfortunately some people don’t think hard or long enough about exercise when selecting a breed, and they choose a dog without fully realising the amount of exercise they will need to provide it, and ultimately, the long term effect it will have on your dog.
